2. Overview
The public pages of this website do not set cookies. The website does not use analytics, tracking or marketing services and does not embed any third-party content (no external fonts, maps, videos or social media plugins). The only cookie is set when the sign-in page of the members area is opened and is described in section 8. We only process personal data in the cases described below.
We do not store information on your device or access information stored there, except where this is strictly necessary to provide the website (§ 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG, German Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act). No consent is required for this.
3. Hosting
This website is hosted by domainFactory GmbH, Oskar-Messter-Str. 33, 85737 Ismaning, Germany. The host processes the data listed below solely on our behalf; we have concluded a data processing agreement with it under Art. 28 GDPR.
4. Server log files
Each time the website is accessed, the web server automatically stores: IP address, date and time of access, page or file requested, referrer URL, amount of data transferred, HTTP status code, and browser type, browser version and operating system.
The purpose is to deliver the website and to keep it secure and stable, for example by detecting and preventing attacks. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is the secure and error-free operation of the website. The data is not combined with other data sources and is deleted after seven days.
5. SSL/TLS encryption
This website uses SSL/TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by “https://” in your browser's address bar.
6. Contact form
If you write to us using the contact form, we process your name, your email address, your message and the language version of the website you used. To protect against spam, the form contains a hidden field and a timestamp; no cookies are set. To prevent abuse, the number of requests is limited: for this, we store your IP address only as a pseudonymised hash value and delete it after 24 hours at the latest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is protecting the form against abuse).
The purpose is to handle and answer your enquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where your enquiry relates to entering into or performing a contract, and otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (our legitimate interest in answering enquiries). Your enquiry is sent by email exclusively to our mailbox contact@ingnetworks.com. Providing your details is voluntary; however, we cannot reply without an email address.
7. Contact by email or phone
If you contact us by email or phone, we process the information you provide (e.g. name, contact details, content of your enquiry) to handle your request, on the same legal bases as for the contact form.
8. Members area
Clients can be given access to a protected area of this website that contains detailed pages and technical documents. We set up the access ourselves; the website offers no form to request it.
Account. For each access we store a username, your name and organisation, your email address, the language of the emails we send you, the date until which the access is valid, the time of the last sign-in and the number of failed sign-ins. Your password is stored only as a hash value from which it cannot be recovered. We never send a password by email: you receive your username and a link; when you open it, your password is created and shown to you once. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where the access relates to entering into or performing a contract, and otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (our legitimate interest in giving access only to persons known to us).
Sign-in, PIN and cookie. You sign in with your username and password and then with a six-digit PIN, which we send to the email address of your account; it is valid for 10 minutes and for one sign-in. When you open the sign-in page, one cookie is set (name: ingm). It contains only a random session identifier, applies to the members area only and is deleted when you close the browser. A session ends after 30 minutes without activity and after eight hours at the latest. The cookie is strictly necessary to provide the members area you have asked for (§ 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG); no consent is required. The public pages set no cookie.
Protection against unauthorised access. We record sign-ins, failed sign-in attempts and changes to accounts with the time, the username and the IP address. After repeated failed attempts, the account or the IP address is blocked for a period between 15 minutes and seven days. Our administrators are informed of blocks and of changes by email; these messages contain the IP address concerned and are deleted after 90 days. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is protecting confidential documents against unauthorised access.
Storage period. Blocks end by themselves after the period stated. Entries in the access record are deleted after 90 days. An account and its data are deleted when the access ends, at the latest 30 days after the date until which it was valid. Statutory retention obligations remain unaffected.
9. Storage period
We delete enquiries that do not lead to a contract six months after they have been dealt with. If an enquiry leads to a contract, the retention periods under German commercial and tax law apply: six years for business correspondence and up to ten years for accounting records (§ 257 HGB, § 147 AO).
10. Recipients
Your data is received by our hosting and email service provider acting as processor. We only pass your data on to other third parties if we are legally obliged to do so. Your data is not transferred to countries outside the EU or the EEA.
11. Your rights
You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18) and data portability (Art. 20). You can withdraw any consent you have given at any time with effect for the future (Art. 7(3) GDPR). To do so, simply contact contact@ingnetworks.com.
12. Right to object
Where we process data on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, you may object to this processing at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation (Art. 21 GDPR). We will then stop processing the data unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds or the processing serves the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.
13. Right to lodge a complaint
You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR). The authority responsible for us is the Berlin Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information, www.datenschutz-berlin.de.
14. No automated decision-making
We do not use automated decision-making, including profiling (Art. 22 GDPR).
15. Changes
We update this privacy policy when the website or the law changes. The version published here applies.
